Questions

Mostly about what the app won't do.

Can I turn calories on?

No. There is no setting, no advanced mode and no hidden field. If calories were a preference this would be a nutrition tracker with protein on top, which is the thing people are leaving.

How do I set my goal?

Type a number, or enter your bodyweight and pick a multiplier. Each multiplier is explained in plain language, and the goal is editable at any time from Settings.

Do I need an account?

No. No sign-up, no email, nothing to verify. Open the app and start logging. Your log lives on your phone.

Is it free?

The app is free to download and nothing is behind a paywall before you have used it. If we charge for something later it will be for something added, never for the counter itself.

What if I don't know the protein in a meal?

Log your best estimate as a bare number. Roughly right every day beats exactly right twice a week, and any entry can be edited or deleted.

Does it sync with Apple Health?

Not yet. A HealthKit toggle is planned, off by default, and it will write protein out rather than pull calories in.

Is there a barcode scanner?

Not yet. The keypad and the food tiles cover most logging faster than a scan does, so the scanner is queued behind things that matter more.

What is the photo scan?

A later build will estimate grams from a photo of a plate, for meals without a label. It returns one figure you can correct, and it will not show a calorie either.

Android?

Not planned for the first release. iPhone first, and we would rather do one platform properly.

What happens to my data?

It stays on the device. There is no server to send it to, no analytics on your entries, and an export if you want to take it elsewhere.

I miss my streak. Does the app nag me?

No. A missed day is stated as a fact in History and nothing else happens. Reminders are one notification at a time you choose, and they can be turned off.

Where do I get it?

The App Store, on iPhone, free. If a screen isn't earning its place, tell us — that is the feedback we act on fastest.
